One Helluva Ride!
Ride Decorum & Rules
Every year, the townships and cities of Chelsea, Dexter, Pickney, Gregory, Stockbridge, Waterloo, and Grass Lake have over 1500 riders pass through their towns on country roads every second Saturday in July. In many cases, the roads are narrow with little or no shoulder. With that in mind, we need to be aware of the cars and traffic in our roads in both directions to ensure a safe ride and be good guests in their towns.
We expect all riders to:
- Wear an approved and properly-fitted helmet.
- Ride as far to the right of the road as safe to do so.
- Ride no more than two abreast.
- Ride single-file when cars are behind you and need room to pass.
- Use proper hand signals when turning or stopping.
- Alert slower riders when you are passing on the left.
- Stop at all stop signs and obey all traffic laws.
